Update: CARE launches EURO Elections Website Vote2009

One month before the European Parliamentary elections, CARE for Europe launches the www.vote2009.eu website.

The website provides information in seven different languages on candidates, parties, political briefs on key issues of concern for Christians, as well as information about Christian citizenship, the European Union and the European Parliament. Conceived to enhance Christian involvement for these elections, the vote2009.eu website seeks to be an instrument of dialogue between candidates and voters. CARE has sent a questionnaire to the heads of all the UK parties’ delegations at the European Parliament and will be posting their answers online. Moreover, the issues section of the website contains briefing documents on various issues, including bioethics, human trafficking, equalities, internet gambling etc. It also provides answers from MEP candidates on questions relating to these issues. To go to the website please here

CARE has also set up a Facebook group on the EU elections to enable EU Christian citizens to engage with one and other. Joining the Vote2009 group on Facebook allows people to post questions, add comments and check out different useful links that can help them make an informed decision on the day of the elections.

To become a member of the Vote2009 Facebook group, please click here
